PANOLAM INDUSTRIES EXPANDS INDUSTRIAL LAMINATES PRODUCTION
$20 Million Investment Adds Size and Capabilities to Tennessee Facility
SHELTON, Conn., Oct. 1, 2005 -Panolam Industries today announced a $20 million expansion of its Morristown, Tennessee Industrial Laminates plant, which produces the company's full line of Industrial Laminates, including Conolite¨ aircraft laminates.
The expansion increases the size of the 180,000 square-foot facility by nearly 20 percent. The centerpiece of the expansion is the added ability to produce the company's cargo liner in widths up to 8 feet wide.
With this expansion Panolam is well poised to capitalize on the global market for Industrial Laminates, currently growing by 10 percent a year. It also allows the company to expand its product offerings and ensure a continuous supply and shorter lead times for customers.

"It is also consistent with our strategy to invest in our Industrial Laminates business and to enhance our ability to meet and support our customers' growing needs," he adds.
