POSITION: Corporate Financial Analyst

POSITION TYPE: Full Time


DESCRIPTION:

We have an exciting position available for a Corporate Financial Analyst in our Corporate Headquarters located in Shelton, Connecticut.

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), the Corporate Financial Analyst will work closely with the CFO, plant controllers and other members of the organization.

The Corporate Financial Analyst will be responsible for obtaining information from reports prepared by plant accounting staff, as well as raw data generated from the system, and preparing a variety of reports and analyses, including:

  • Weekly summary of bookings, sales and backlog with commentary
  • Monthly financial statements and variance analysis; investigating and explaining variances to forecasts/budget and prior year
  • Monthly PowerPoint presentation to the Board of Directors
  • Regional sales and profit and loss (P&L) reporting
  • Sales analysis, including variances in volume and price
  • Assist with the annual budgeting and monthly reforecasting processes
  • Various ad hoc reporting as required


REQUIREMENTS:

Skills required for this position include:

  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, lookups, creating charts etc.)
  • Comfortable working with, organizing and analyzing large sets of data
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; a questioning and curious mindset
  • Self-reliant and able to work independently
  • Proactive and dedicated to continuous learning

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any business major; Accounting or Finance a plus
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial analysis
  • Occasional travel may be required
